Draw Closer…

12/17/2016

I love this picture. I love the hue of colors. I love the rugged landscape. I love the castle sitting on top of the hill. I love the rough-hewn muddy paths carved into the mossy green hillside. I love the misty wisps of clouds. I love that she’s setback trying to take it all in, capture this moment in time.  I love the image this picture represents.

But what if she drew closer?

What if, she entered the gate and stood inside the castle grounds? Her view would change completely. She would no longer be standing back capturing the view of the mountain-top and its background. She would be on the mountain-top. She would be able to glimpse the immensity of that which lay spread before her. She would have the gift of a whole new perspective.

That, is the journey that Christ calls us into. As seekers, he extends His hand to us and calls to us through His Spirit to come up higher.  “Come up here” (Rev.4:1-2 ) is the call He gives.  See, with a whole new perspective. See from a new vantage point. See, as He sees.

Is it possible?

I believe it is.

Are you willing to draw closer?

He is extending His hand to you today.  The call has not changed since He spoke it in the beginning.

Is it scary taking His hand, being drawn into that which is unknown? It is. But it is so much more. It is exhilarating. It is freeing. It is full of joy. It is an amazing, wonderful, unimaginable adventure.

Be willing to draw closer dear seeker. Be willing to take His hand. He will not lead you where He will not go. He is trustworthy. He is faithful. He is present with you.

Oceans and the horizon beyond

Who knew the journey could be so immense. Or the road so endearing in the glimpses it brings of Christ and the Father along the way.  Would we start upon it if we knew what lay ahead?

Is it worth it, the enduring, to catches revelations of our maturity, revelations of Him and Him in us and at work all around us?  Is it worth it, the journey? Without a doubt.

Every time I glimpse Him in another I gain another image of who He is. Every time I hear Him at work I am awakened to how wide and vast He is and how far He goes to redeem and heal and save.

He beckons. He extends His hand inviting us into the journey of life lived in and with Him. The journey begins when we invite Him in (Rev. 3:20) but it truly continues as we yield to him and cry out to Him asking for Him to truly use us – day in and day out.

Sometimes, its like an ocean which stretches far out into the horizon. Depending upon your level to the wave it can seem to be an unimaginable undertaking.  And yet the joy that arises in the walk is so buoying, so sustaining, so perfectly present that it lifts our hearts up again and again.

**********************************************************************

Do you see Him? Do you yearn to see Him? Have you asked Him for eyes to see and ears to hear and a heart to understand (Isaiah 6:10)? He answers that prayer. Keep knocking, keep seeking, keep running hard after Him for He promises He will be found by us if we do (Jeremiah 29:13; Matthew 7:7).

Surrender

I surrender all.

What does it mean when we say that to the Lord?  Have we stopped to count the cost? If so, does it matter?  Does it depend upon the day or the hour?

I surrender all.  A sweet melody but are our hearts in it?  Or, if our hearts are fully engaged in that song’s cry, will our wills back it up at the first sign of discomfort?

He is worthy of all our surrender; yet the price can be steep.  In the midst when push comes to shove, in the midst of the raging storm and sea, in the midst of desolate, barren, dry, desert sand – do you choose to hold fast to your confession of surrender to Him and hold fast to Him through it all?

Lord, we are weak.  We long for easier days, for clearer guidance.  Truly, we have nothing to bring to you except our whole selves, feeble as we are.  Yet, we confess that it is in our weakness when Your spirit is at work within us embracing us, making us strong, allowing us to stand, helping us to hold fast to our confession and to you.

You, who surrendered all for our sake – thank you, Lord.  Lord, would you introduce us to the intimacy of your powerful embrace?

Examine your heart

June 26, 2016

HEARD: “As I see you sitting there, I am reminded of the time when I went away and left you by yourself and you looked so longingly after me. Do you still long for me? Where is your heart in the matter? This is important. Examine your heart before Me. What does it say?”

Prophetic Rhema: Revived – Fresh water will rise again from old wells

2.9.14 – all of a sudden this night I had an urge to seek the Lord’s face and to scribe. What is written below came pouring out of me, it flowed by the Holy Spirit.  His WORD, not mine. Given to me so fast I almost couldn’t scribe it, slowed when I needed to catch up and flowing ever smoothly up and out. Fresh and anointed wells of His Spirit indeed!!!

HEARD: “My loved ones, will you come? Will you come to Me to sit beside Me? Will you let yourselves be led by quiet streams? There are still valleys my sons. I know the hidden strength that comes from wells buried. Oh they may be buried but they are not forgotten. No! Their markings are clear as day in My sight and one day they will be uncovered again. Fresh wells, old wells dug up and revived again. I declare it says the Lord. I speak it into being. It will not fail. Fresh water will arise again from of old and will pour out like rivers in the valley, like streams of oasis in the deserts and there will be abundance of life. Will you come? Will you trust again? Will you seek Me like you once sought Me with a passion and a ferocity of love? I have not moved. I AM and will remain. Come my child, let us begin again. It is a new walk in oneness, a new day of beginnings. It is for you and for Me. I call you forth. I call you UP. Arise now and walk with Me. The word of the Lord.”

Hallelujah Lord! Hallelujah!

Freshly Met

This poem came pouring forth after an evening spent in communion with the Lord.

Freshly Met

Melting into You
I surrender all I am
for all You Are
It’s not a fair exchange
Your Life for Mine
But that’s what GRACE is
Beauty for ashes
Ashes poured out
I sit at Your feet and
weep for Joy
my Savior, my Friend
You Are
Never to be the same again
Who knew life could be so sweet admist the pain
You are beautiful to me
Love poured out
it’s unfathomable but it’s true
His Reign unending
Will you come too to be renewed?

Kingdom Dwellers

3.26.14

Heard: “I seek those willing to walk with Me, to humble themselves knowing it is not in their strength but in Mine, wholly dependent upon Me for their daily bread and sustenance to be My sons and daughters. Ones such as these will be Kingdom dwellers with Me.”

Sitting with the Lord to hear His Voice: A vision

Background: All day today I had this pressing need building within me;  I wanted to go running to the Father as soon as I got home from work. I NEEDED to hear from Him, I needed to hear His Voice.

As the Lord has been training me, I came to the Lord humbling myself before Him, confessing my sins, asking for His forgiveness and pleading His blood over me. I submitted to the Holy Spirit and asked for Him to anoint my ears to hear, my eyes to see, my spirit to understand what He would have me understand this night. The Loving Holy Spirit granted me the following vision….

Apples

The vision opened with me at Heaven’s gate.  This gate was tall, so tall, made of gold bars and curved across the top in two arcs like a wave or a camel’s hump.  Angels opened the gate for me saying, “Welcome.” I entered in.  As I walked I passed people on the streets.  I asked everyone I passed, “Do you know where Abba Papa is?”  I don’t believe I received any response.  I walked for a while.

I came to an edge of a clearing, a beautiful hilly valley.  I saw Jesus sitting under the shade of an Apple tree located within a grove of trees fully green and bountiful.  I went running to Him.  I kneeled down in front of Him and saw he was eating an apple; He then handed one to me.  I took it and we ate our apples, crunching in silence.  I then was sitting next to him, our backs to this Apple tree, his one arm laid atop my shoulders still eating our apples.

He then spoke to me saying, “Sometimes, all you can see is the army before you but I would have you see a higher vision – My Perspective.”

The view then splayed out in a panoramic vision and I saw before us the front line of an army, like straight out of Braveheart or Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, lined up staring at us, ready to engage in battle.

The Lord continued speaking to me saying, “Do I look worried? Did I ever strive? I AM Lord of the Day. I AM Lord of the Night. I see what battles fray. Rest. Come to Me and Rest.”

I then saw a quick flash of Jesus – the Lord Most High – coming down from the hill towards me with a few others on each side of Him.  He came down surrounded by clouds of Glory which were behind and beneath Him.  He came down on top of and in front of the army totally obscuring it.

I heard the Lord ask me, “So. Are you ready?”

Time passed as if I were in a trance and then I heard the Lord say to me, “My Word is a lamp onto your feet and a light onto your path.  Rest in My Word and let Me fight your battles.”

I asked the Lord, “Lord, how do I rest?”

He replied, “It’s surrender. Whom do you trust? Who is in control? It’s laying your life down for Mine – picking up the life I give you and running in the path of my commands.”  This statement made me think of Psalm 119:32 where David said, “I run in the path of His commands for He has set my heart free.”  I then heard, “I love you My Child, My Bride.  Come, come sit with Me and stay awhile.”

The vision ended.

Remember the Cross, Remember what I have done

7/7/2014

HEARD: Chapter 24, Verse 24: God said to Moses, “Let My people go.”

HEARD: God, where are you?

I AM right here my child.  I have always been right here.
Do you see me now?
I have not moved. I am the same
yesterday, today and forevermore.
Rest in that knowledge my child.
Rest in the understanding that I know you,
I created you, I understand all about you;
no detail is hidden from My sight. Take
comfort in that my child.
And I love you still.
There is no one outside of the reach of my cross – no one.
So, come to Me. Let us reckon together. Though
your sins be red as scarlet I wash them white as snow.
Rest in that truth my child.
Confess, repent and be washed new.
~ Abba Papa.

Word Picture: Secure in Trust

2.24.14

I had a vision of myself tonight as a child perched on the Lord’s back. He was on His knees on the floor bucking and pitching His back just like Mister Magoo with Tiny Tim before the roaring fire. There were other children about. I was caught by surprise but saw that I was laughing with pleasure and joy. I then saw, as the Lord was still “horsing around” bucking and pitching me on His back, that I was sound asleep on his back, completely at peace, holding on. And I heard Him say as I watched this image and thought of the storms of life and of His Peace, “You will always be secure with Me. I AM with you always.”

Matthew 8:23-27.

Power of your Testimony

8/16/2016

Dear friends,

I was so moved today to share this word and to encourage you that if you are not already, to use every opportunity to share your testimony. Ask the Lord who He has placed in your life that you can speak words of Truth, encouragement, challenge – all by just sharing the Testimony He has given you.

Are you waiting on the Lord for His promises to you to come true? Then you know how active this waiting process is and how difficult the battles, how sick the heart can become when hope is deferred and yet how beautiful the journey can be.  Have you been given a Word that you are actively walking out? Then you know how intense the battles, how wearying the walk, how exhausting the trek through enemy camps, through wilderness routes, through deep valleys and yet how incredible His strategies, His army, His right hand which holds you and guides you and leads you forth are and the beauty of the mountain tops.

There is tremendous joy that is birthed in and through us when we surrender and learn and choose each day to depend upon Him, to actively wait upon Him, to put on our spiritual armor and be willing to actively engage in His battles. This Joy, this Hope of Christ within us that is birthed through so many hard and heartbreaking circumstances we have and are even now enduring, is a powerful testimony that we need to be sharing.

May He show you and grant you the openings to share and may His words flow through you to speak melodies of His love, His strength, His Joy, His Peace, His Hope to each individual who is in such need of knowing the truth of who our God is and what He has done and is now doing – in you, in us, in our world.

Thanks be to God for His work in and through us!
